TutorialImage FormatsGif, Jpg and Bmp are the formats used by CDMenuPro for all images. CDMenuPro uses the same interface as Internet Explorer (version 4.01 and above) and Microsoft Office products. This means, then, that these will function on the following systems:
While it's very unlikely that PC systems still exist without this image interface, it cannot be ruled out altogether. If you want to be absolutely certain that CDMenuPro will work on every possible (old) computer, then you will have to restrict your files to Bmp format only. Bitmap format If you decide to use the bitmap format, you can reduce the images to 256 colors and save them using the "RLE Compressed" function. This serves in reducing memory use. To do this, use graphics software such as "PaintShop Pro". Notes for using bmp files in the Resource Compiler: If one of your graphic files (Bmp type files only) is too big for the Resource Compiler, CDMenuPro will compress the file using an internal compression algorithm. This means, then, that an external bitmap file can be bigger than the amount of free memory displayed for the Compiler. You will find more information about this here: The Resource Compiler | |||||||||||
